Supporting the African Diaspora

The Cuppy Foundation has partnered with the African Oxford Initiative and University of Oxford to provide financial support to African graduate students at the University through the creation of The Cuppy Africa Scholars Fund.

The Cuppy Africa Scholars Fund provides grants to enrolled African graduate students at the University of Oxford who face unexpected and urgent financial needs. 

There are over 430,000 African students enrolled in higher education studies outside of the continent. The determination, focus and intellect of African students has seen such students gain admission to the world’s most prestigious universities, such as the University of Oxford.

In African students studying outside of their home countries, there is a plethora of unique economic and financial challenges that can arise. African students studying outside of the continent are in need of support frameworks that account for their realities.
